What A recording Session is Like
by admin on Sep.28, 2009, under Band Blog, Band Videos, Videos
A couple days ago I was with coworkers, and then wanted to know what a recording session was like. Even when I tried to tell them about playing and then the hours of listening, mixing, trying stuff, etc… they really didn’t believe me, and they still assumed it was some type of non-stop party… Anyways, I found this video of when we were in the studio last, and it captures the majority of the time very well. Sitting, listening back, and waiting. That and of course Duece drinking his RedBull–I am sure he as some type of wings by now.
It is cool though after you have all the parts laid down to hear it come together. Many times, everybody is doing something separately, so you never quite hear how it all mixes, but when you do, it can be a great feeling. Our new song “broken” was that way for me…
Anyways, typical studio session…
Omega Studio Session

We had a recording session at Omega to start working on a new original. We had fun with everybody, and we were able to put down the instrument tracks, vocals, and get a decent rough-cut of a new original. Omega rocks!
Favorite Quote: When we had just completed running the instrument tracks, Steve one was really impressed with everybody being on top of things… so “on top of the ball” got translated in Steve1-speak… had to of been there….
